One last hoorah. The final hole on the golf course
provides a symbolic look back to the large clubhouse with columns
and a balcony overlooking the eighteenth green. From an elevated
tee to a fairway measuring only eighteen yards wide, this tee shot
needs length and accuracy to be effective. The huge hillside and
trees will make anything to the right difficult. Left is the place
to miss the fairway.
The fairway sets low while the green sets high
with the clubhouse in the backdrop. Better hit a good one since
the clubhouse is watching. The green slopes right to left with the
terrain. The greenside shoots steeply up on the right and drops
off hard on the left.
Now the green is your stage. Sloping back to
front, stay short and left to leave an aggressive putt at the hole.
Be sure to acknowledge the cheers when the last putt drops.
